Yes, succulents thrive in an air-conditioned room until the temperature doesn’t drop below 10 degrees Celsius (50 degrees F). Also, you must give them sufficient light when they are kept in an AC room. This will ensure the healthy growth of succulents.

Succulents are desert plants that are used to thrive in extreme conditions. One of my friends had a succulent in his AC bedroom, he was adamant about not moving it to the outdoor.

So I told him to consider giving the succulent good light and water it correctly. Now it’s been a year, and the succulent is healthy and blooming green.

How do you survive succulents in an air-conditioned room?

Now let’s get to know in detail about it. When you consider keeping the succulent in an air-conditioned environment whether it is an office, bedroom, or anywhere. There are a few things to take care of.

By giving them Light

Succulents are sun-loving plants. They need direct or partial sunlight throughout the day. So when they are kept in an air-conditioned room, keep them near the window where they can get light throughout the day. Also, make sure to rotate the plant after every two days.

This will avoid any stress and excess growth in succulents due to light exposed parts. If you live in a region, where it is impossible to get sunlight. Then keep the plants under the normal LED lights or grow lights.

If you don’t want to spend a lot of money on grow lights. Then consider keeping them under LED lights, this also works fine. The main purpose here is to give the succulents any kind of light source for at least six hours daily.

By maintaining healthy Temperature

The most important factor for succulents to survive in an air-conditioned room is the temperature. If you are keeping the room temperature too low, then there are high chances that the plant won’t survive.

So you must keep the AC temperature now below 50 degrees F. Succulents are desert plants and they cannot survive the freezing temperature.

Although there are a few succulents that can thrive in such cold, those succulents are called cold hardy succulents. If you are keeping any of those succulents in AC then you can drop the temperature.
